IMG_20140610_191230Karma is a very interesting concept. The definition of Karma is action, work or deed. It comes from the root Sanskrit word ‘Kr’ – to act.

It is the concept of cause and effect, intent and actions of the individual influence the future of that individual. What goes around, comes around.

Scientifically, the law of the conservation of energy states that energy is never lost, it only changes form and this is Karma.

There are 4 ways in which Karma works:

  1. It is certain (and unfailing) –
    Positive actions bring positive results
  2.  It is unavoidable –
    Once the action is done, the result is never lost
  3. Karma expands –
    Once we have an imprint of an action on our minds, it tends to become habit-forming
  4. If you do something, it will come back –
    If you do not do something, it will not come back.

When you start working consciously with Karma, when you are aware of your thoughts, words and actions and how they affect the world around you, you start to realise you have no choice but pay attention. If you are in control of your thoughts, your words and your action, there is no doubt you have control of your life.
